The Fortis Werk 17 Automatic Manufacture Calibre features a column wheel chronograph for enhanced reliability. Regulated to chronometer standards by the Fortis Watchmakers in Grenchen according to the Fortis Performance Requirements.
Werk 17: Going beyond
Werk 17 was tested in collaboration with the Swedish Space Corporation. The test consisted of a number of movements fixed on a gondola driven by a stratospheric balloon.

After the successful stratospheric balloon test Fortis and SSC have taken watch-movement-testing to the next level.
