STRATOLINER
Dare to go beyond.
Inspired by the persistence of great visionaries. This is tribute and motivation. Discover the first watch for the space tourist and those who dare to go beyond.
Prepare for Launch
In just 90 minutes, the Mothership will ascend to an altitude of 15 km, carrying the spaceship on its journey to the edge of space. At this height, the spaceship will detach, ready for its mission.
Blast Off
After separation, the spaceship will accelerate to Mach 3.5, rocketing past 100 km above the Earth’s surface in just 90 seconds.
Experience Zero Gravity
Once in space, passengers will experience about 15 minutes of near-zero gravity - time to take in breathtaking views of our planet before beginning the safe journey back home.

60 hours Power Reserve
The Fortis Werk 17 Automatic Manufacture Calibre features a column wheel chronograph for enhanced reliability. Regulated to chronometer standards by the Fortis Watchmakers in Grenchen according to the Fortis Performance Requirements.
Werk 17: Going beyond
Werk 17 was tested in collaboration with the Swedish Space Corporation. The test consisted of a number of movements fixed on a gondola driven by a stratospheric balloon. Launched at the Esrange Space Center, the test-batch took off into the Stratosphere. After a flight time of 1.5 hours under the harsh cosmic conditions, the movements came back down and landed in the vast forest landscape of Finland.
Tested by the swedish space corporation.
After the successful stratospheric balloon test Fortis and SSC have taken watch-movement-testing to the next level. In 2022 we launched a suborbital express rocket to validate that our tool watches can withstand the harsh conditions during a rocket launch.
